In this History topic, we will be stepping back into the history of air travel. We will be exploring the reasons why we travel, and how people used to go on holiday. We will learn all about the Montpellier brothers and their engineering genius, and ask and answer questions about the mysteries surrounding Amelia Earhart, and find out why her trip across the Atlantic is still remembered today. We will meet the first female and African American to fly. We will discover why Derby is an engineering city. In DT, we will investigate mechanisms to create planes.
